The Ceramic Jug in Black & White is made from black clay sourced from Shigaraki in Japan and the white glaze is influenced by Hagi glazes of Japan to create a semi-matte silica warm white glaze.

Remy Pajaczkowski-Russell is a potter working on Gadigal land, where he makes functional ceramic pieces from found Australian materials. After completing his studies at The National Art School, Remy went on to do an apprenticeship in La Borne, France. It was here that he developed his passion for wood fired domestic ware, slip decoration and the production of functional objects for ceremony, celebration and reflection.
