Mini Market Basket Bag (Open Weave) - Black Handle

The mini hand-woven Market Basket Bag is made from the elephant grass which grows in the rich flood plains of the White Volta near the village of Bolgatanda in Northern Ghana. Featuring a leather handle making it softer on the hand for carrying, this basket is perfect for shopping, around the garden & home or just sitting pretty as a decorative or storage item. 

The elephant grass is a 100% sustainable natural material. It is harvested, dried and finally boiled to dye. The weavers split each length into two then roll it to give it more strength. 

Care: Gently clean with a soft damp cloth or soft brush. To reshape your basket, submerge in water for a small amount of time before reshaping it into your desired shape, then air dry in the shade. You can use leather conditioner on the handles if required.
