These are the tools that make a single flower arrangement feel considered rather than casual. The kenzan, or flower frog, is a traditional Japanese ikebana tool: a weighted brass base set with pins that hold stems in place without floral foam. This set of four allows for sculptural arrangements in small vessels.
To use, simply press your flower stems onto the pins to hold them in place, then rest the Kenzan in a vessel filled with water to extend your blooms’ life.
Niwaki design each tool in collaboration with skilled Japanese craftspeople, drawing on techniques refined over generations. Built in Japan to exacting standards, made to be used well and kept for a long time.
